I was looking up the dictionary for the meaning of "LOVE" and I found this.

Love: A deep, tender, ineffable feeling of affection and solicitude toward a person, such as that arising from kinship, recognition of attractive qualities, or a sense of underlying oneness.

So...Love is a feeling? I looked for the word "Feeling" and found this,

Feeling : The general state of consciousness considered independently of particular sensations, thoughts, etc.

So...when we're actually "concious" when it comes to feeling.

Concious : Fully aware of or sensitive to something.

After being aware of the feeling of loving somebody...then comes relationship.

Relationship : An emotional or other connection between people.

which usually leads to "marraige"

Marraige : The social institution under which a man and woman establish their decision to live as husband and wife by legal commitments, religious ceremonies, etc.

So, it's a decision to get commited to each other.

Commitments : True to one's word, promises, vows, etc.

What is "true"?

True : Real; genuine; authentic

So, I conclude that being in Love means.. that we're fully aware of the feeling of loving someone..
then make a decision to get commited to each.. being true, real and genuine.

How do we measure Love then? can't measure...only categorize....

1. Affection
caring/hugging/kissing/fondness/closeness/concern/friendship/being there for the person/a bond/doing things for the person/happiness/helping the person/holding hands/sharing/warmth/can be one-sided/not too intense/not sexual
2. Sexual Love
Physical attraction/arousal/lust/expressed through sexual intercourse/person is seen only as a sex object for one's own gratification/commitment/contentment/excitement/fulfills a need/heart rate increases/intimate/kissing/touching/not long lasting/close while having sex, but not necessarily after/emotional/giving/happiness/special /think about the other person all the time
3. Platonic Love
friendship/not sexual/caring/doing thing together/not physical/supportive/enjoy each other's company/feel relaxed with the person/happiness/helping the person/normal behavior/sharing/trust/contentment/feel free to talk about anything/being reliable/respect
4. Friendship
Feel free to talk about anything/caring/helping/honesty/doing thing together/trust/sharing/understanding/sharing emotions/being there for the other person/good times/happiness/supporting/long lasting/loyalty/openness/sharing thoughts/a bond/closeness/common interests/concern/feeling relaxed with the person/listening to each other/respect/sadness/sense of belonging/sharing experiences
5. Romantic Love
candlelight dinners/taking walks/happiness/idealistic/want to be with the other person all the time/giving gifts/dream about the person/like a fairy tale/feel relaxed with the person/good times/physical attraction/sitting in front of a fireplace/sharing/courtship/doing things together/don't know the person very well/kissing/your world revolves around the person/honesty/glowing/giving/friendship/feel free to talk about anything/problems seem to vanish/sexual/sweaty palms/soft music/think about the person all the time
6. Puppy Love
occurs at a young age/a new experience/not long lasting/think about the person all the time/infatuation/feel shy around the person/a crush/dream about the person/feel like you're floating/initially strong, but then fades/painful if not reciprocated/see only the person's good qualities/act immaturely/attraction/heart rate increases/kissing/sweaty palms
7. Passionate Love
sexual/caring/intense/think about the person all the time/a bond/heart rate increases/want to be with the person all the time/arousal/emotional/expressive/kissing/lust/attraction/don't know the person very well/euphoria/excitement/feel flushed/giving your self completely to the person/hugging/intimate/irrational/physical/the person is the most special person in your life/not long lasting/touching/want to make each other happy
8. Infatuation

9. Commited Love
commitment/continues regardless of the circumstances/long lasting/think about the person all the time/being there for the person/felt for only one person/honesty/sharing/caring/closeness
giving/respect/a promise/sexual/trust/understanding/a bond/devotion/faithfulness/feel free to talk about anything/give and take relationship/live together/openness/passionate/sacrifice

well, it's good that it's this week....as most of my students are having school final year exam...and many cancelled class.... oh well...

hmm.... dear friends... are these true? haha.. well, friendship's really important to me and they play important roles in different areas of my life..

but i do feel, that i don't really have a friend that i can trust and pour out everything to... except 'nerd and 'I'.
i feel that all friends...at a certain stage...will forsake you.... and lead their own lives.. they'll probably recall, at times... what i've done for them..
nevertheless, i'm still glad that i once brought joy into their lives :)

Finally..i find time to rest.. been really busy the last week, preparing for my student's piano exam...now it's all over.. weEEeEe~ but waiting for the results is a torture man.. dunno how they'll do..

I got myself a Kinokuniya Membership Card.. if not, always hafta bother Veron...not very nice.. and went Esplanade to photocopy music scores..all duet! woah! so fun.. but nobody to play with me *sobz* shall force my students to learn..so they can play with me! haha... spent about 1.5hours there!

time just ZOOMED past.. when i'm in a holidaying mood.. w.h.y.

it's thursday and it's LAN day tmr..ho ho ho..

nothing perks my day..other than shopping!

Look what temptation has done to me...i bought this calendar from Novena.. and it robs $110 off my pocket.. but i really love it! been wanting to get it beginning of this year..but was outta stock till recently! woah! but this calendar i can use it forever mah...so not that expensive right? hee~ my pink angel has white stain on the skirt..will bring it back to the shop on fri for an exchange.. after buying this, i walked outta the shop and went into the shop next to this..and bought my Little Twin Stars 2008 organiser! *faint* $28 off my pocket..

Just celebrated my "ah gong" 's 79th birthday not too long ago.. he's my grandfather's eldest sister's husband... we all call him ah gong :)
Look at the cake! so chinese right?! ... we celebrated at his house... with just a few of us closer relatives..

I bought him a bottle of X.O.. i know he loves to drink...but finds it too costly... so i think, i should pamper him on his birthday! hee~ they took care of me when i was a baby...till about 6years old.. i try my best to visit them often.. i want to let them know i really treasure them and thankful for investing their time in me when i was a baby..
