Japan Day 4

The view from our room's window....

we can see Hell Valley from our room~

We went for a one more round of hot spring bath before our breakfast.

Check out time...
we left our luggage at the reception, and went out to the streets...
we bought sweet potato cake and of course... our daily dosage of ice cream!
here's a postbox!
Right infront of Hotel Dai-ichi.. GEYSER~
and the loud booming sound's really loud!
okie! start of our hike!
There so many places to explore!
We're gonna explore as many places as we can!
Starting point!
We're going to the Hell Valley first...
I think why Hell Valley's called 'Hell Valley' because of the smoke...
and it sure stinks of sulphur!
Tessen Pond~
We walked up-hill...
Stopping for a photo!
It's so hot! though its winter.. till Iris removed her stockings halfway through our hike *keke*
Okie.. we're nearing the next stop~
Ta Da~
Oyunuma~
Mt Hiyori.. an active volcano!
We're going down-hill now.. I collected 2 rocks from here!
Beware!
We're right at the foot of Mt. Hiyori!
Along the road side...
We're heading to the foot bath...
a mini "water-fall"~
we removed our boots and start soaking our feet! the water's warm.. not hot..

going nearer the "water-fall"...
other tourists came equipped with towels to wipe their feet, we used tissue :( okok... I littered.. Iris took a photo of the crime me committed :( guess wat? she littered too!
a walk back to our hotel... the hike took us about 3hours..
stopping along a front porch of a family.. so pretty!
Lurve this hotel!
we took a bus to Noboribetsu station.. bought a train ticket.. and we're heading towards Lake Toya station!
Took a bus from Lake Toya station to our hotel.. and luckily, our hotel is rather near the bus stop!
we changed into our yukata straight away! & explored Hotel Grand Toya abit...it's totally not GRAND at all.. so different from the pictures posted on the internet :( but... our dinner made it all worth while!
an Obasan came into our room and set up our dinner... yes.. right in our room!
just look at our dinner!
one big tub of rice!
now it's gone!

After dinner, we went out to buy ice cream(again)! and...went into another hotel to use their free internet..wahaha...

gonna sleep early tonight.. will explore Lake Toya early next morning!

Japan Day 3

Gotta wake up earlier today as we need to check outta Gracery Hotel today.. well, did not wake up early enough to visit the morning wet market... never mind... there's a morning market in Hakodate! :)

Had ramen for brunch before leaving Sapporo.. not at this shop.. we ate ramen from the shop we visited on Day 1 :) Walked around after brunch... a COOKING STUDIO! so cool! you can see them in action from the outside! An Ice Cream a day keeps Iris away...hahahah.. Iris say must eat Hokkaido Ice Cream EVERYDAY!!!! ?!?how very orderly!?!?! you dun get to see this in SG...

no time for shopping in Sapporo! Sad! We kinda regretted not planning for an extra day in Sapporo... we just popped into a convenient store and grab some stuff before heading back to hotel to get our luggage.... In Hotel Gracery's toilet for the last time... Used the rubber band I just bought to tie up my messy hair! on our way to the bus terminal just across the street..... I gotta drag my pinky and chicky luggage.. HEAVY! and Iris's super big luggage's wheel was giving way... uh oh.. Crossed the road... beside the bus terminal... Sapporo Station.... On our way to Noboribetsu. We booked Daiichi Hotel..and they have FREE shuttle bus from Sapporo all the way to Noboribetsu! The journey's about 2.5 hours by coach.. and it usually cost about $80 - $100... but it's FREE for us! Daiichi Hotel ROCKS!!! We alighted at a stop for toilet break.. and I finally bought my Royce Chocolate Potato Chips! Interesting sign on the toilet bowl.. "Rear" here simply means... buttocks... wahahah! funnily engrishy~ Reached Daiichi about 430pm.. and the hotel staff brought us to the room.. and we changed into our Yukata immediately! Coz we're going for our HOT SPRING BATH! it's Iris's 1st time.. and OUR first time going for bath together........................................................ after 2 hours of hot spring, we went for our buffet dinner. We did not expect the food to be so GOOD! we had many helpings.. coz we only had ramen in the morning :( and 2 of these pots were served to our table.. only our table... we wonder why... AND... my prawn's pregnant! when I removed the prawn head.. I saw the eggs.. SO MANY OF THEM.. too grossed out to eat the prawn in the end.. goosebumps! and my brave jiejie tried this... *faint* we rested for awhile after dinner.. then went back to hot spring bath again for an hour plus..We explored the hotel abit and surfed the internet at the hotel's lobby. Then we went back to our room and zonked out on our cosy tatami mattresses that we set up ourselves :) a looooong day tmr!
