Woke up very early today..at about 6am.. coz we need to take a train to Tokyo, and from there, to join a tour for our Mount Fuji trip. There isn't any tour to join in Narita (where we were staying). We reached Toyko at about 8am...had breakfast... which is soba... and waited for our tour guide.. and took this dunno how many hours bus...up to the 5th station of Mount Fuji.. Didn't take any photos along the way.. because the journey is soooOoOoOo Long! was sleeping all the way.. Thank goodness Singapore is so small..haha.. anyway, the bus couldn't go any higher..as the mountain gets steeper and steeper.. actually, if we're adventurous enough, we can hike all the way up... but....nah.... we're joining the tour.. and it's freeking cold! think almost zero degrees...and i'm wearing a short short skirt... wah piangz... legs don't feel a thing-numb!
Here's a picture of Mount Fuji.. the small white patches are...of course... snow.. it's cold..
A Picture of me and Mount Fuji. I was so lucky... because right after I took this picture, the clouds came and covered Mount Fuji, so can't see it clearly anymore...haha
There you see... the clouds are coming! ahhh! hurry for the last take!
No more Mount Fuji...
This is the signboard of the 5th station up the Mountain we're at... 2400 (mi) ...is it metres?
Afer this, we visited a souvenior shop right there.. bought a few cups.. and ornaments..
We're going to visit the next mountain..forgot what's the name..it's all in Japanese... Gotta take a cable car up the mountain.. It's a volcanic mountain.. which is inactive already *duh*
A model of the cable car system! so cute.. haha.. mini map..
Cable cars coming! one car can house about 10 people?!
This is the BEST picture we took... the clouds came...and we can't see a thing! *argh* Supposed to be able to see crater, made by huge rocks during the eruption and some mining activities going on...for sulphur....smelly!
We're in the cable car!
Xing Fu bell? Ding Dong! ~
Reached the moutain already... There's hot spring! hot spring in Japan is very expensive, in tourist spots.. so, nah...never go... However, there's a small spring here, for tourist to have a feel of the water... It's very hot! ...but bearable lah.. we all took turns to scoop the water...to wash our hands.. anyone can decipher the Japanese words on the stone? suppose to be a lucky well i think.. i see some people dabbing the water over their mouths...haha
See how hot the spring is? steam! anyway.. the whole place is very smelly.. because of sulphur.. and... we actually ate eggs cooked by the hot spring.. a stall is set up at the mountain, selling eggs... about $1 for an egg.. and the best thing about the boiled egg...is that, it's black in colour!...the shell of course...because of the sulphur.. i ate 2! so nice! didn't take a picture of it, was busy eating...*keke*
Ta-da... big ship...we're taking this ship, to the other side of the shore.. instead of cable car.. and from there, we'll go back to Tokyo..
Going onboard!
Can anyone tell that i'm shivering..it's very very cold! It's all hills and mountains at the back...
The top of the ship..
Nice ya? greeeneries......... so cute..this lump of greens..
More greens...........
Ha... putting a hood over us to prevent our hair from getting messy...the wind is very very strong.. i had to hold on to my skirt...if not...........
see...my hair.........
too cold...so we went into the cabin... and there's a small stall inside too...bought some tidbits... sat down to eat... all the way back to shore... the end of tour... our tour is inclusive of a train ride, back to tokyo....bullet train! if you're never sat in a bullet train, it's as good as you've never been to Japan!
Look....very very fast...can't even take a picture of it...
OooH... so scary.. anyway, this train ride is very costly.. think it's about $70.... the things in Japan are actually reasonable...like shopping...food.... it's about the same as Singapore... really..but the transport is a killer! an hour journey on the bus/train cost easily $30...compared to our few dollers in Singapore... Cabbies are worse! It'll cost about $600 to get from Disneyland back to our hotel... cabbies.. in hundreds!
waiting for our train..... which is the super fast bullet behind...
yeah...stopped...that's the train we're taking..it feels like you're in an aeroplane..the seats.... and...there's also a steward inside selling drinks and tidbits...
Reacher Tokyo... saw a chinese restaurant at the station, went in right away... it's been quite many days we haven't had chinese food.. look at the utensils....so cute! everything in Japan is just so... detailed........to every bit......
Went to shop at Ueno.. a street famous to be like Bugis... unlimited stalls.... very interesting... you can get anything you want here... like comics... figurines... toys... food... chocolates... clothes, bags etc... anything you want...thing veron and felicia will go crazy over here... hahha... oh, they also have sex shops...not like those in Singapore...their's is like 2 to 3 storeys selling sex toys... porn vcds, dvds, books...posters...and costumes! they have one whole floor for that! haha..sailor moon.. bunnies.. hand cuffs, chains..e.tc... wah piangz... alot! also, they have alot of soft toys catching machines here.... look! darling caught so many for me! haha.. chip & dale.. mickey & minnie..etc...
There's the station name.. and after this, we went to the ever famous 100-yen shop.. it's like our $1.99 shop in Singapore.. but....the things are so so cute! you can find alot of disney stuff here for only $1.40++...but in Singapore, you pay $1.99 for dunno what....can't be compared...
And on the last day, we just shopped around for 4 hours...at AEON shopping centre... near our hotel...and back to Singapore........didn't take photos on the last day... too sad... dun wanna come back!
Japan...i'll be back!
